As the Guest Speaker of the HKICS’ Seminar — “Enterprise Risk Management to Environmental, Social and Governance-Related Risks”

Our Director of Risk Advisory Service, Mr. Ricky Ho was pleased to be invited by HKICS to speak on the topic “Enterprise Risk Management to Environmental, Social and Governance-related Risks” earlier.

Ricky introduced Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) as emerging risks to enterprises and the importance of proper ESG risk management supported by international research results and cases of corporate ESG-related crises.

He also shared an update on HKEx’s recent consultation paper on proposed amendments to the ESG Reporting Guide and a case of how enterprises, especially the board, can get prepared for the proposed amendments. At last, he illustrated how an effective integrated ESG Risk management can be a pathway to value creation.
