AVISTA Group is delighted to have been invited by the Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Directors Association (HKiNEDA) to attend its flagship Annual Conference 2025. The conference was successfully held on 6 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Under the theme “Opportunities and Challenges for INEDs in Dual Listing Wave, Digital Asset Era &amp; AI-Driven Risk”, the half-day conference focused on three transformative areas: the surge in dual listings, the rise of digital assets and Web3, and AI-driven governance risks. Against a backdrop of global capital markets undergoing profound change — where dual listings are becoming the new norm and the explosive growth of digital assets and AI technologies bring both unprecedented opportunities and ethical challenges — the role of INEDs is evolving from compliance gatekeepers to strategic navigators. The event featured insightful keynote speeches and panel discussions, providing forward-looking guidance on how independent directors can best steer boards through this new era.
The conference brought together a vibrant gathering of independent directors, regulators, listed-company leaders and governance professionals for an enriching day of dialogue on how INEDs can best steer boards through today’s transformative era.
Our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, was honoured to serve as a panelist in the discussion “Role of INEDs in the New Era Dual-Listing IPO Wave”. Mr Pang shared practical insights on how independent directors can effectively oversee cross-border compliance, valuation alignment, and risk governance in today’s fast-evolving dual-listing environment, helping boards turn regulatory complexity into competitive advantage.

AVISTA received ‘2022 Enterprises Promoting Economic Development of Kangqiao - High Quality Development Award’ 

AVISTA is pleased to be endorsed to be one of the service partners of Cyberport Professional services Network (CPN).
 
The CPN is an important complementary addition to the Cyberport ecosystem that join hands with the Enterprise, Investors and Technology Networks to support the growth of the Cyberport community companies. It is a structured and collaborative platform that connects professional services providers of areas like accounting, financing, legal, marketing and corporate development, etc., with the Cyberport community start-ups at their different development stages to support the growth and scale-up of the companies.

Our Director and Principal of Risk Management Advisory services, Mr. Ricky Ho and Ms. Sabrina Lam were pleased to be invited by the HKICS to speak on the webinar: “An Investor’s Lens: Sustainable Investing as the New Norm - Implications on ESG Reporting”.
 
The webinar discussed how the ESG integration can create value in the interest of investor and the effectiveness of ESG reporting. Ricky covered the market overview and business sustainability story in ESG reporting, while Sabrina shared investors’ confidence from ESG reporting and the coming trend in ESG investing.
 
The webinar also featured a panel discussion with the topic “How to Set Target for Carbon Reduction”. The speakers had an inspiring discussion with Mr. Jonathan Yau, Associate Director of Cundall Hong Kong Limited. The development of carbon emission reduction initiative worldwide, the benefits of setting carbon emissions targets for corporates and tips on how to set target for carbon reduction were covered.

As the Guest Speaker of the HKICS Webinar: “An Investor’s Lens: Sustainable Investing as the New Norm - Implications on ESG Reporting” 

AVISTA is pleased to be the Sponsor of Social Impact Investment &amp; Sustainability Forum (SIIS)—"Strategic Thinking and Innovative Actions about Social Impact Investment in the Post-pandemic Era”.
 
The online forum was successfully organized by Social Impact Investment &amp; Procurement Foundation (SIIP) and S.T.A.R.S Foundation on 29 January 2021.
 
The forum gathered government bodies, international environmental organizations, entrepreneurs, investors as well as scientists around the globe to conduct in-depth and extensive discussions on the guiding principles, innovative technologies, development projects and risk management of social impact investment in the post-epidemic environment.
 
Significant sustainability issues in 2020, such as public health concerns brought by Covid-19, the role of green finance in promoting global economic recovery and the initiatives of global carbon neutrality were also discussed.

As the Sponsor of Social Impact Investment & Sustainability Forum (SIIS) 

Our Managing Director, Mr. Vincent Pang and Principal of Risk Management Advisory services, Ms. Sabrina Lam were pleased to be once again invited by the HKICPA to be the judges of the Sustainability and Social Responsibility (SSR) review panel of the BCGA 2020.
 
Celebrating their 20th anniversary, the HKICPA’s BCGA continue to set a benchmark for current Corporate Governance (CG) and sustainability standards and best practices in Hong Kong. This year, about 500 annual reports and 500 sustainability reports were considered in the initial stage and eventually 30 awards were presented.
 
As a professional CG and ESG advisory firm, AVISTA Group was pleased to see there is increasing awareness of climate change as an ESG issues and more companies are aligning with international standards on disclosure, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), in addition to the HKEX ESG Reporting Guide.
