AVISTA’s ESG seminar series - “Perspectives from Issuers: Staying Ahead of HKEX’s Proposed Climate-related Disclosures”

AVISTA Hong Kong successfully launched our ESG seminar series with an inaugural session titled "Perspectives from Issuers: Staying Ahead of HKEX’s Proposed Climate-related Disclosures". During this seminar, our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, our Principal and Manager of Risk Advisory Services, Ms. Sabrina Lam, and Mr. Oles Kwong, provided valuable insights and shared the latest updates on HKEX’s disclosure proposals.

Against the backdrop of HKEX recent publication of a consultation paper seeking market feedback on proposals to enhance climate-related disclosures under its ESG Framework, this seminar navigated the key proposed changes, discussed the underlying implications for listed companies and addressed the major challenges associated with the amendments, with the aim to empower listed companies to get braced for the new disclosure requirements.

The presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session to address participants’ concerns regarding the proposed amendments and discuss the future megatrend of ESG development in Hong Kong.
