Scope:
We are seeking candidates to join our expanding ESG advisory team in our Hong Kong office. As part of our team, you will gain broad exposure to a diverse range of industries, working with both listed and private clients to address a variety of ESG advisory needs.
What you will be doing?
- Conduct ESG market research: Research key ESG trends and developments for clients across a variety of sectors.
- Support ESG strategy development: Assist clients in formulating ESG strategies and action plans, including defining KPIs and frameworks for measuring and monitoring impact.
- Perform ESG assessments and due diligence: Conduct ESG readiness assessments and due diligence for businesses, portfolios, and projects.
- Model carbon trajectories: Perform carbon trajectory modeling, set reduction targets, and develop actionable carbon reduction roadmaps.
- Analyze ESG data: Calculate environmental and social KPIs, perform data analysis, and conduct technical research to support project delivery.
- Assess ESG risks and opportunities: Evaluate key ESG risks and opportunities and provide recommendations for integrating them into core business practices.
- Analyze ESG ratings: Conduct ESG ratings analysis and propose strategies for enhancement.
- Prepare ESG reports: Draft sustainability and ESG reports, including assurance documentation.
- Drive ESG business development: Support the expansion of ESG-related services through knowledge building, information analysis, benchmarking, market intelligence, and solution partnerships.
- Lead and collaborate: Manage junior colleagues on a daily basis and work closely with senior team members.
- Manage client relationships: Oversee client relationships and consultancy projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas markets.
Who are we looking for?
- Practical experience in ESG consulting, sustainability strategy development, target setting, carbon management, sustainability rating
- In-depth knowledge in climate / environmental science, ESG, TCFD, green building, environmental legislation
- Minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in ESG consulting, preferably with a background in risk management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies (Engineering, Science or Management) or related discipline
- Local or overseas professional qualifications preferred (e.g. CEM)
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with flexibility and adaptability.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, presentation software, data analysis, and research documentation.
- Willingness to travel as required.
